The Syrian community in Canada grew sharply after 2015, especially in Toronto, Mississauga, London, Windsor, Montreal, and Ottawa. Families look for Damascene and Aleppine kitchens, a bakery for manakish and kunafa, and a centre that helps newcomers with language, school, and work without getting lost in a generic directory.
